Our (Sold Out!) September Concert of the Verdi Requiem.
Nearly nine hundred people came together in the Grange Park Opera’s Theatre in the Woods on Saturday 23rd September to enjoy performing or listening to Verdi’s dramatic Requiem, a demanding and highly operatic work in its rightful setting. Wasfi Kani CBE had most generously made the opera house available for this special event. Sam Hayes conducted four star soloists, four choirs and the Hennessy Brown Music Collective orchestra in a sell–out performance which delighted the audience of over 600. This was a successful collaboration between Godalming Choral Society, the Epworth Choir, and the Horsley and Oxshott Choral Societies.
